Welcome to the Ancient Realm of Dragonfire

Dragonfire is an online text-based MMORPG called a MUD (Multi-User Dungeon). MUD's are the original MMORPG and best of all they are FREE!

Dragonfire is a custom 2.4.5 mudlib running on the latest and greatest LDMud driver.

In-Game Features

Areas: Thousands and thousands of custom rooms designed around a fantasy theme.
Quests: 50+ challenging quests for those puzzle-solvers; light quest requirement for level advancement.
PKilling: Optional pkilling environment with hundreds upon hundreds of pk toys to give you the upper hand in battle.
Events: Custom events triggered randomly to give your character bleeding edge combat benefits, or an unfortunate lightning storm to keep you indoors!
Playerbase: A small friendly and helpful playerbase to help you on your journey.
Advanced aliases/macros: A Dragonfire custom macro-able alias system so your macros go with you when your client does not. This keeps your macro commands lightning-fast and local to the game.
Guilds: Dragonfire's pride and joy are its custom made guilds.
Effects: A complete effects system similar to other popular MMORPG's. Beneficial, or negative effects and their stats can easily be listed on the effects screen.

As like any other MUD, you must connect through a telnet session. There are multiple easy ways to do this.

DragonfireMud.com's Java Connect is easy to use, and available anywhere on the web. Clicking on the link sends to to a java-enabled applet which connects you directly to the game. (NOTE: Currently the link in the navigation bar does not work, please use this link)
Windows telnet - While rather crappy, some do prefer this method...and it's fairly easy to use. Try this link to launch windows telnet from here - if it does not work here are instructions to open telnet by hand.
Download a MUD client - this is the best and most preferred way to play a MUD. Here is a list of free MUD clients.
